Is This the Future of Locks? (SwitchBot Lock Vision)
SwitchBot just released its new Lock Vision Series, including the SwitchBot Lock Vision and Lock Vision Pro. These are SwitchBot’s first full-replacement smart locks, and they bring some pretty wild unlock options — including facial recognition, palm vein recognition, fingerprint unlock, NFC, passcodes, traditional keys, and Matter support.
In this video, I test the SwitchBot Lock Vision Pro to see how well face unlock actually works, whether it can be fooled by a photo, how it performs in the dark and direct sunlight, and how it works with Apple Home and other Matter-compatible smart home platforms.
