Can This Robot Mower Handle a REAL Yard? (Ecovacs GOAT)
Robot lawn mowers are getting better, but can they actually handle a real yard without constant babysitting? In this video, I’m testing the ECOVACS GOAT A3000 LiDAR Pro in my own yard to see how it handles real-world obstacles, uneven areas, dog toys, narrow paths, slopes, and edge trimming.
Unlike many robot mowers, this one does not require an RTK station. It uses LiDAR navigation, AI obstacle avoidance, and a built-in edge trimmer designed to cut closer along sidewalks, fences, flower beds, and other edges. Does that mean you’ll never need a weed eater again?
I’ll walk through the setup process, mapping, app controls, mowing performance, obstacle avoidance, scheduling, and how well the TruEdge trimming feature actually works in real life.
