My Favorite Daily Shortcuts
Check out my favorite shortcuts that I use on a daily basis! Feel free to download them, modify them, and use them for yourself if you wish. I plan to update this page as time goes on with more shortcuts that I use.
Note: I am no skilled programmer and many of the shortcuts here have come from other sources that I have downloaded, modified and played around with to fit my needs.
Start My Day Shortcut
Download here: https://geni.us/morningShortcut
This shortcut was designed for using on my HomePod first thing in the morning. This one is great because even if you are not at home, it still works great and gives you important information regarding your calendar and weather forecast based on your current location. Here’s what it does all based on the city you are currently in:
- Tells you the day and date
- Tells you what the temperature “feels like” at the moment
- Tells you the high and low for the day
- Tells you the chance of rain for the day
- Tells you what your first event for the day is
- If you are at home, turn on a HomeKit scene or accessories
- If you are at home, asks if you want to listen to music and, if yes, will play whatever you choose on your HomePod.
Good Night Shortcut
Download here: https://geni.us/nightShortcut
I always run this shortcut right before bed. It works great from any device, including a HomePod. Here’s what it does:
- Tells you your first event for the next day
- Tells you the weather forecast for the next day
- Asks if you are working tomorrow. If answered “yes,” it will set work alarm for the next morning. If answered “no,” it makes sure your work alarm is turned off.
- Asks if you want to turn out all the lights in the house. If answered “yes,” it will run a homekit scene.
Note: if you go to bed after midnight, this will not be accurate and will need some tweaking. It must be before midnight to accurately get the next day’s information.
Connect to AirPods Shortcut

This is a very simple shortcut that connects your AirPods to your iOS device with one tap. Add this shortcut to your home screen or access it from the widget area on your device to quickly connect AirPods.
