Smart Light Switches: How to Mix and Match to get Started w/ Lutron Caseta
I decided that I wanted to add smart light switches to begin converting my lights over to smart lights. I chose Lutron Caseta because they have been around for a while and have excellent reviews and a proven track record. This was one of those cases where reliability was probably more important to me than cost.
Because they can get expensive quick, I wanted to find a way to combine smart switches with dumb switches in the same wall plate/box. I wanted to do this so that I could save some money by not upgrading all of the switches to smart switches all at once, but only the ones that I really use a lot. The problem is that I have many 3 gang light switches throughout my house.
In this video I’ll look at combining smart switches with “dumb” switches as an affordable way to get started converting all of your home’s switches.
